TRUE DETECTIVES (Season 3): Clips, BTS Featurette & My Impressions for Ep1-2
I've not gotten on the "True Detective"-bandwagon (Which near everyone says S1 is must watch, while S2 is missable as they are all not linked), until starting with Season 3, and as of this post, devoured the first 2 episodes. I'd started the episodes without any prior knowledge of the contents (something I do not regularly do), and ended up interested to continue forth. The notion of insidiousness prevails throughout the proceedings, and I am intrigued to find out how this might/might not drag on, and how this plays out what looks to be 8 x 1 hour long episodes on HBO.
Flitting between flashbacks and "current day", "The story takes place in the Ozarks over three separate time periods, as partner detectives investigate a macabre crime involving two missing children."
"Mahershala Ali plays the lead role of detective Wayne Hays, while Stephen Dorff plays his partner detective Roland West. The season marks Pizzolatto's directorial debut, with the series creator dividing up directing assignments with Jeremy Saulnier and Daniel Sackheim. Pizzolatto also serves as the showrunner and sole writer of the season, with the exception of the fourth and sixth episode, which he co-wrote with David Milch and Graham Gordy respectively."
Featured below are a few clips from the early episodes, as well as a BTS/behind-the-scenes featurette with the cast and crew of True Detective Season 3. Watch True Detective Sundays at 9PM on HBO.
