Marvel's RUNAWAYS: Official Trailer for “Live-Action” Adaptation - Exclusively on Hulu (Premieres Nov 21st)
PREMISE: ”Six teenagers from different backgrounds unite against a common enemy — their criminal parents, collectively known as “the Pride”.
And if you know your Marvel Comics, that is the premise for their RUNAWAYS Comicbook, which is the latest concept to be turned into “live-action” for television!
While not necessarily wholly “teenagers with super-powers” (ala “The Gifted” on FOX, “Cloak & Dagger” on Freeform), there is still super-powered props, and of course “Old Lace” the Deinonychus (make it’ll make friends with “Lockjaw” from “Inhumans” lol) telepathically linked with Gert Yorkes!
The series will be set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films and other television series of the franchise. Catch Marvel's Runaways November 21st exclusively on Hulu (hulu.tv/marvelsrunaways).

"After discovering their parents are super-villains in disguise, a group of teenagers band together to run away from their homes in order to atone for their parents' actions and to discover the secrets of their origins." (IMDb)
WHAT-IS THE “RUNAWAYS” COMIC: ”Runaways is a superhero comic book series published by Marvel Comics. The series features a group of teenagers who discover that their parents are part of an evil crime organization known as "The Pride". Created by Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona, the series debuted in July 2003 as part of Marvel Comics' "Tsunami" imprint. The series was canceled in September 2004 at issue eighteen, but due to high numbers of trade collection sales, Marvel revived the series in February 2005."I’m a huge fan of the first run, but never followed after the first cancellation, so my memories and interest remain “casually optimistic”, and hope to be at least entertained as I have been with FOX’s current “The Gifted”, and not as disappointed as I am with “Inhumans”, IMHO.
The trailer released (and featured above) looks as interesting as “teenagers-coping-with-adults-sins” might be, NOT done by The CW (*cough*), and hoping there’ll be enough gravitas to NOT be in-line with everything we see on TV today, and literally push us to the edge of “super-powers-fatique” hahaha
Actually I’d LOVED the comicbok covers by Jo Chen (featured below) than anything else, and even featured her “anime-sque” art on TOYSREVIL back in 2007!
COMICBOOK PREMISE: "Originally, the series featured a group of six kids whose parents routinely met every year for a charity event. One year, the kids spy on their parents and learn they are "the Pride", a criminal group of mob bosses, time-travelers, dark wizards, mad scientists, alien invaders and telepathic mutants. The kids steal weapons and resources from their parents, and learn they themselves inherited their parents' powers; Alex Wilder, a prodigy, leads the team while Nico Minoru learns she is a powerful witch, Karolina Dean discovers she is an alien, Gertrude Yorkes learns of her telepathic link to a dinosaur, Chase Stein steals his father's futuristic gloves, while young Molly Hayes learns she is a mutant with incredible strength. The kids band together and defeat their parents, and atone for the sins of their parents by fighting the new threats trying to fill in the Pride's void. Later they are joined by cyborg Victor Mancha, shape-shifting Skrull Xavin, and plant-manipulator Klara Prast." (Wiki)
