iZombie from The CW

And while I've vaguely heard/scanned-quickly-thru-www about iZOMBIE, it's only gotten my attention with the above-posted Opening Title Sequence for the show, featuring the art of Mike Allred (used to be mad about his "Madman" too)! Mike is also the co-creatorof iZomie the comicbook, so I'm pretty excited! And my excitement is currently kept to that nugget of info LOL … Don't you just love it when comicbook stories get adapted into tv/film? … and NO, I am not talking about the "result" of some shows, just that comicbooks get adapted :p

"iZOMBIE is a comic book series created by writer Chris Roberson and Michael Allred, published by DC Comics's Vertigo imprint beginning in 2010. The series deals with Gwen Dylan (née Gwendolyn Price), a revenant gravedigger in Eugene, Oregon and her friends Ellie, a 1960s ghost, and Scott, a were-terrier. iZOMBIE was nominated for the 2011 Eisner Award for Best New Series.

Gwen can pass for a regular girl, but she needs to eat a brain once a month to keep from losing her memories and intelligence. As a gravedigger she has plenty of access to recently deceased people; when she consumes their brains she "inherits" part of the deceased's thoughts."

Remember when "zombies" was the domain of feature films and categorized as horror? Then there was "The Walking Dead" (also a comicbook adaptation!), which too opened folks to non-comformist fiction without dedicating the entire story to eating brains and human flesh (example like "Warm Bodies" pop into mind, which I enjoyed) ... and now we have a cute girl zombie who walks amongst the living, hiding in plain sight? I can get with that! hahahahaha

I am unsure if I aim to track this series down to watch (not very likely here in Singapore's cable channels tho…), but nevertheless you can check out the original trailer posted below, along with a cut-n-paster of info about the show :)

"iZombie (TV Series) is an American television series developed by Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero-Wright for The CW, and is a loose adaptation of the comic book series of the same name created by Chris Roberson and Michael Allred, and published by DC Comics under their Vertigo imprint. The series was officially picked up on May 8, 2014, for the 2014–15 season and premiered on March 17, 2015. The first season will consist of 13 episodes." (Wiki)
