The Mandalorian: First Production Image & Synopsis Revealed!

SYNOPSIS: "After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic."

So goes the synopsis for the new and first Star Wars live-action streaming series, with the series to be written and executive produced by Emmy-nominated producer and actor Jon Favreau, with Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels) directing the first episode, as reported by starwars.com - the above image via, released as production for the series has begun. No point in "hiding" anything - especially since it is a Mandalorian (!!!), innit?

And you KNOW the toys ("appropriated" or legit-licensed) and cosplay will follow soon! Maybe that's why this was announced only when New York Comic Con 2018 had started... Heh.

starwars.com also added; "Additional episodic directors include Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates), and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok). It will be executive produced by Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson. Karen Gilchrist will serve as co-executive producer."
