THE GIFTED from FOX - First Full Trailer for A New Mutant Teen Television Show

Before we collectively baulk at the not-so-sudden deluge of teenager-with-super-power media/television offerings (which will see Marvel’s RUNAWAYS and CLOAK & DAGGER on television screens soon), let us relish with delight the official trailer for “THE GIFTED” from Fox (who recently produced another X-Men/“Mutant” related project; “LEGION”), brought to you by Bryan Singer (who will direct the pilot episode):

PRESS: "Action-adventure family drama THE GIFTED, from Marvel, tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. And while the notion of “super-powered characters in tights-n-capes” (AKA “superhero-costumes”) might be somewhat “new” to modern television (of course not counting the old skool pre-millennium mainstays like “Superman”, “Batman”, “Wonder Woman”, “Spiderman” … and no, torn purple pants do not count :p), the concept of “super-powered” beings dressed like YOU and ME is not new as well, having been a fan of 80’s series like “Misfits of Science”, it feels like a rejuvenated round of FUN waiting to happen! LOL
