"THE OUTSIDER" Has Jared Leto Join The Yakuza

Jared Leto joins the Yakuza. I'm in already.

PLOT: "The story of a captive American soldier who is set free from prison with the help of his Yakuza cellmate. With this, he repays his debt of gratitude to the Yakuza in a way that will require him to maneuver in the world of criminals."
WHAT-IS: "The Outsider is an upcoming American action thriller crime drama film directed by Martin Zandvliet and written by Andrew Baldwin. The film stars Jared Leto (as "Nick Lowell"), Tadanobu Asano (as "Kiyoshi"), Rory Cochrane (as "Panetti"), Shiori Kutsuna (as "Miyu"), Emile Hirsch and Kippei Shiina." (Wiki)
I used to devour (modern) Yakuza-inspired films, and even enjoyed the odd "Gaijin-navigates-Japan"-trope (My all-time favourite Ridley Scott "Black Rain: ranks high on my watchlist, thanks lol), so the (weird)intensity of Leto's null gaze fits perfectly! Well, at the very least seen in this trailer ~ heh.

"An epic set in post-WWII Japan and centered on an American former G.I. who joins the yakuza" (IMDb) - "THE OUTSIDER" (Rated "M18") premieres March 9th, 2018 on Netflix.

coming very soon, いよいよ #theoutsider
