Trailer for Marvel’s CLOAK & DAGGER on Freeform

And “NO”, “superhero”-themed television is not going away anytime soon, and I am personally ALL FOR IT! The “latest” property to join the list is Marvel’s CLOAK & DAGGER! A trailer has been released by Freeform, with this 10 x one-hour episodes to debut early 2018.


I personally like it when folks adapt the “lesser known” obvious characters - which gives them a chance to grow beyond the spandex superhero-suit expectations these fictional character creations come with, IMHO. That said, I hope they don’t put either of these characters in their comicbook-suits … although the nod to Tyrone’s cloak seen on the rooftop (next to “Roxxon Corp” building neon) was a nice cheesy touch for “fans” of the comicbook LOL

"Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger is a coming-of-age series based on the beloved comic characters. Tandy Bowen (Olivia Holt) and Tyrone Johnson (Aubrey Joseph) come from starkly different backgrounds, each growing up with a secret they never dared share with another soul. The series is co-produced by Marvel Television and ABC Signature Studios. Joe Pokaski (Underground, Heroes) will serve as showrunner and executive producer, Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s Luke Cage, Marvel’s Iron Fist), Marvel’s Head of Television and Jim Chory (Marvel’s Luke Cage, Marvel’s Iron Fist) will also serve as executive producers.
